You have planned a family trip, local or abroad, as early as possible. You have purchased the airline tickets, booked the hotel, finalized the itinerary of your tour and activities (the works!). It is a good thing if you were able to schedule your vacation during school break (Kudos!). But there are times when your trip falls on a school day. Meaning, kids will be missing school for a few days.
In situations like these, moms and dads, what do we do? Easy and simple! Write an excuse letter and submit it as early as you can.
You can have the letter handwritten or typewritten (just make sure you sign it!), whatever works for you.
And… since I just finished my letter, I will be sharing it to all of you for your future reference. I hope you find it useful!

So that’s it. Make sure you don’t forget to do this important thing before going on your family trip. Your kids and their teachers will surely appreciate it. Besides, it’s the least that we can do.
One more thing, it would be nice if you can give a little something (pasalubong) to your child’s adviser/teacher upon your return from the trip. Just make sure it is not anything lavish or extravagant! Or else you might put the teacher in trouble and we don’t want that!
Good job, mom and dad! Now, go and have an awesome trip with the family! You deserve it.
This is Attorney Mommy, at your service!
